Welcome Back,
I just finished doing this activity with my friends, and thought it would be a great way to learn how to start letter writing. In this post, I will break down what supplies you will need and some basic ideas for you to start.
- Decide what kind of scavenger hunt you want. Do you want a clue one, a mystery one, a story one, etc.
- Once you have decided what you want then plan out your letters and activities. If you friends live nearby you can have more local activities. If your friends, like mine, life further away, then do activities that require a computer, webcam, or fun activities like scramble word puzzles.
- Arrange your letters, and map out how many letters you will send to your friends. For me I sent 5 in total, but it can be any number, as long as it is more than two.
- Start sending letters and have fun
- If you want to as a extra step, arrange for prizes at that end of the scavenger hunt, as well as for any bonus activity that the friends complete. This will be a nice touch and certainly make the scavenger hunt more memorable.
These are the tips I have for know. In the coming weeks, I plan to make templates of scavenger hunt letters that you can send out, so that you can have some ideas and some formats to follow.
Have a great week,
Alyssa
